Glory came on a kaleidoscope of fronts to the Springbok captain as his side famously thrashed England by a record 42-6 at Twickenham. Not only did he typically lead by muscular example, back in his familiar No 2 jersey, for 80 minutes but his pre-game motivational address was widely lauded as a key to the epic triumph.
