Plonker of the Month

SARU

Related to the Boland fiasco, the national rugby body hardly covered themselves in glory with the rank confusion that existed after attempts to switch the Boland v WP Currie Cup derby to Newlands. First it was “officially” switched to the Cape Town venue on the Friday, then just as “officially” switched back to Wellington! One wonders whether the SuperSport outside broadcast units had to park beside the N1 at Klapmuts while they awaited further orders during the ping-pong. At least SARU’s media guru Andy Colquhoun fronted up bravely and admitted “mistakes had been made”.
