A meaningless game it may have been as far as Bafana’s already-doomed qualification for the African Nations Cup in 2010 was concerned, but with a certain even bigger event also looming on the radar, the SABC not screening the game against Equatorial Guinea earned the folks at Awkward Park few admirers … “visa problems” or not. Even SAFA gave the public broadcaster a good rocket. Oh, and Bafana won -- which meant an infrequent chance to lift SA fans’ morale went flashing past the post.
