Without making him out as some messianic presence, the Blitzboks could definitely take a leaf out of Rosko Specman's book as they contend with a difficult group at the Vancouver Sevens, which start just before midnight (SA time) on Friday.

This week, the 34-year-old veteran - back in the sevens setup following six years of focusing solely on the 15-man - was at pains to point out that, at least to him, it's all about enjoyment.

"I'm now playing every tournament as if that will be my last for my country and this beloved Blitzboks team, because, in reality, it could be," he said.
 
"At my age you must enjoy every moment and make it count, in order not to feel sorry afterwards."
