The Springbok Sevens side endured another disappointing home campaign when they finished sixth at the past weekend's HSBC Cape Town SVNS.

In what turned out to be a horror Sunday, the Blitzboks' Cup dreams were shattered when they lost 28-0 to Australia in the Cup quarter-finals.

The South Africans then had to settled for sixth place after an equally disappointing 31-7 loss to New Zealand in the fifth-place playoff.
