Erratic Springboks survive almighty Williams and Pumas scare to get back to winning ways

The Springboks struggled to put a plucky Argentinian outfit away, eventually clinging on to an uncomfortably narrow 22-21 victory.

A horrible second half performance by the Springboks who can feel very lucky with their victory.

Had it not been for wayward goalkicking from Santiago Carreras in the second stanza, then Los Pumas would have won.

The Boks have some serious work to do if they want to defend their World Cup title later this year.

In the end, the Boks conceded 12 penalties to Argentina's 10. Los Pumas also beat 25 defenders compared to South Africa's 15.

The Boks also conceded 20 turnovers and Argentina only eight.
