In an ideal world, the CSA T20 Challenge - which commences on Friday evening with a full complement of fixtures - would be considered a highly watchable, perhaps even borderline compelling product if the names involved are anything to go by.

Indeed, for the first two to three rounds, all the nationally contracted players are available, and their stature is neatly interspersed by four Baby Proteas stars.
