Ex-Buc Mazibuko dies

Cape Town - Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Sipho Christopher Mazibuko has passed away according to reports.

Mazibuko was rushed to hospital in near his Soweto home after collapsing on Sunday evening. His death was confirmed later that evening according to KickOff.com

Mazibuko also played for Durban Bush Bush and Moroka Swallows.

Alfred "Shakes" Gwabeni, a former teammate at Orlando Pirates, confirmed the news.

"It's sad news," said Gwabeni.

"He was a nice person and a very close friend of mine." 

Gwabeni fondly remembered his fallen friend's passion for the game of soccer.
