TWO bodyguards belonging to the City of uMhlathuze senior officials have been shot and killed.

The incident happened during a meeting at the municipality council chamber on Thursday morning, 28 March.

The two unidentified victims were bodyguards to city Mayor Xolani Ngwezi and the municipal manager, Nkosenye Zulu.

It’s alleged that the two were involved in a clash before the shots were fired. It’s unclear what the two were fighting about, and the rumours have not yet been confirmed. However, the two officials assigned to the two guards were not harmed in the process.
