THE life of the late Ukhozi FM presenter Beekay will be celebrated on Friday, 15 March. 

Popular maskandi presenter Bheka "Beekay" Mchunu's memorial service will take place at thee SABC M1 studios in Durban from noon until late.

The Durban-based presenter of the Sigiya Nengoma maskandi show died on Tuesday, 12 March at age 45.

On Thursday, 14 March, Ukhozi FM released a statement about the memorial service.

"It's with heavy hearts that we invite you to celebrate with us as we remember and honour the journey and the life of Bheka Mchunu who lived with us," the statement read. 

It further said the presenter touched many people's live in different fields through his gentle heart and personality.

"You can be part of this service by watching on Facebook and YouTube. The memorial service will also be broadcast live on Ukhozi FM," they said.

Details of the funeral service have not been revealed yet.
