Sports and Recreation Minister Fikile Mbalula has urged South Africans to welcome home newly crowned CAF Champions League champions Mamelodi Sundowns in large numbers.

Sundowns arrive in the country on Wednesday at 7am from Egypt, where they lifted the continental trophy.

He said his department would organise a parade for the team to celebrate their success.
