Bulls Bulls Bulls

Pretoria - The Blue Bulls were hit by another setback on Monday when scrumhalf Ruan Snyman was ruled out of action for three weeks with a tear in his chest muscle.

Snyman, who just returned to action against the Cheetahs last Saturday after missing two months with a necessary groin operation, came on as a substitute in the second half but didn't last long.

On Monday he was diagnosed with the injury, meaning the Bulls will have to look for a replacement scrumhalf for this weekend's big game against Western Province at Newlands.

This means that Dustin Jinka will certainly start the game against Province, with SA under-20 scrumhalf Lohan Jacobs coming onto the bench.

There is also a bit of a scare surrounding flyhalf Francois Brummer, who scored 18 points against Free State including the winning penalty 10 minutes from the end to clinch victory. Brummer is suffering from a rib injury but should be ready to play.

The Bulls are still waiting word on the seriousness of Jaco Pretorius' injury. The Springbok was initially ruled out for six weeks with a groin injury but went to see a specialist in Johannesburg for a better opinion.

According to Bulls team doctor Org Strauss, Pretorius will now see a second specialist for a second opinion before they will know the extent of the injury. Either way it doesn't look very promising at the moment
