Konta first British woman in last-eight for 33 years

London - Sixth seed Johanna Konta became the first British woman for 33 years to make the Wimbledon quarter-finals on Monday with a 7-6 (7/3), 4-6, 6-4 win over France's Caroline Garcia.

Konta will face either former world number one Victoria Azarenka or second seeded Simona Halep for a place in the semi-finals.
