Cape Town - Kevin Anderson's run at Wimbledon has come to an end with the big serving South African losing in the fourth round to 24th seed Sam Querrey of the United States.
In a hard fought match that lasted just over three hours, the American won in five sets, 5-7, 7-6 (7/5), 6-3, 6-7 (13-11) and 6-3.
After a year filled with injury, which also forced his retirement at the French Open in June, Anderson matched his best ever run at Wimbledon.
He had previously reached the fourth round in both 2014 and 2015.
