Ivanovic off to fine start

London - Ana Ivanovic took a set to warm up but eventually cruised through to the second round at Wimbledon with a 7-6 (7/1), 6-0 win over French qualifier Virginie Razzano on Monday.

The former world No 1, seeded 12, took an hour and eight minutes to get through her opening match on the half-empty Court 2.

The 25-year-old Serb, who made the Wimbledon semi-finals in 2007, will face either Canada's Eugenie Bouchard or Kazakh qualifier Galina Voskoboeva in the second round.

Razzano has only beaten Ivanovic once in seven matches, in their first encounter in 2005.

Ivanovic, the 2008 French Open winner, came into Wimbledon having lost in the first round of the Eastbourne warm-up tournament to the eventual winner Elena Vesnina.
