Radwanska marches on in China

Tianjin - Top seed Agnieszka Radwanska advanced to the quarter-finals of the Tianjin Open on Thursday.

The Pole needed just 65 minutes on the hard-courts of the Chinese city to ease past Evgeniya Rodina 6-1, 6-1.

Radwanska was flawless in the opening set, grabbing the early break and taking the set without even facing a break point.

After racing to a 4-0 lead in the second set, Radwanska saved one break point before sealing the match.

The win earns her a place in the last eight where she will face local Shuai Peng. Later in the day, Peng defeated Kai-Chen Chang  6-3, 6-2.

In other results, Alison Riske beat Magda Linette 6-3, 7-6(2) and fifth seed Monica Puig eased past Lara Arruabarrena-Vecino 6-4, 6-2.
