Tianjin - Polish top seed Agnieszka Radwanska won her first round match convincingly at the Tianjin Open in China on Wednesday.
Radwanska hammered Germany's Tatjana Maria 6-1, 6-2 in just 61 minutes to set-up a second-round clash with Russia's Evgeniya Rodina, who beat American Christina McHale 6-1, 5-7, 6-0 on Tuesday.
In the opening set, Radwanska broke her German opponent's serve in the second and fourth games to claim the set 6-1.
The second set was all Radwanska as she claimed her opponent's serve in the third and seventh games to win the set and match 6-2.
In second-round results, Russian second seed Svetlana Kuznetsova defeated Donna Vekic of Croatia 7-5, 6-4 while Danka Kovinic of Montenegro beat American Shelby Rogers 2-6, 6-1, 6-2.
In an all-China match-up, Han Xinyun saw off Wang Yafan in straight sets, winning 7-5, 6-3 and Japan's Naomi Osaka was too sharp for Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic, going through 6-2, 7-6 (7/4).
