Serena eases into quarters

Cincinnati - World No 1 Serena Williams eased past Italy's Flavia Pennetta 6-2, 6-2 to reach the Cincinnati WTA quarter-finals on Thursday.

She will face fellow American Sloane Stephens or Serbia's Jelena Jankovic for a place in the semi-finals.
