Berlin - Serena Williams remains top of the women's tennis rankings in an unchanged top 10 released on Monday by the WTA Tour.

The US player has 9 231 points to stay clear of China's Li Na on 6 960 and Romania's Simona Halep on 6 960.

Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova is fourth while five-time Grand Slam winner Maria Sharapova is sixth.
