Pliskova into Prague final

Prague - Top-seeded Karolina Pliskova produced an ace on her first match point Friday and advanced to the Prague Open final by beating Yanina Wickmayer of Belgium 6-4, 7-5.

It was one of 11 aces for the hard-hitting, 14th-ranked Czech.

Pliskova will face qualifier Lucie Hradecka in an all-Czech final. Hradecka beat another Czech, unseeded Katerina Siniakova, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.

Pliskova failed to serve out the match at 5-4 but Wickmayer double-faulted to drop her serve in the following game.

In her third final of the year, Pliskova will seek her first title of 2014, and fourth overall.

Hradecka converted her first match-point with a service winner to advance to her seventh career final. She has never won a tournament.

The 18-year-old Siniakova was a set down and trailed 4-2 when she came back, winning four straight games and taking the second set on her fifth set point when Hradecka double-faulted.
