New York - American 17th seed Sam Querrey reached his first US Open quarter-final on Sunday with a 6-2, 6-2, 6-1 win over 23rd-seeded Mischa Zverev of Germany.
Querrey, a semi-finalist at Wimbledon in July, will face South Africa's 23rd-seeded Kevin Anderson for a place in the semi-finals.
Querrey defeated Anderson in the fourth round at Wimbledon but Anderson gained revenge at the Montreal Masters last month.
