Rosmalen - Russia's Dmitry Tursunov defeated Ivan Dodig of Croatia 6-3, 6-2 in the final of the UNICEF Open on Saturday.

It was Tursunov's first title of the season and seventh of his career.

The world No 70 got the better of his 42nd-ranked opponent in a match twice interrupted by rain.

"The stoppages meant we were both nervous on court and there were a lot of errors," said Tursunov.

"But my experience made the difference."
