SA's Anderson in world top 40

Johannesburg - Kevin Anderson’s first ATP World Tour Title at the SA Tennis Open at Montecasino has seen him reach a career high of 40 in the world.

Anderson is the seventh seed going into the ATP 500 event in Memphis this week, where he has drawn American qualifier Robert Kendrick in the first round.

Not to be out done, South African top women player, Chani Scheepers, who following her 3rd round loss at the Australian Open in January, has reached her career high ranking of 78 on the WTA Rankings.

Scheepers, in action at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, will play Russian Maria Kirilenko after she won through the qualifying draw over the weekend.
