South Africa, who beat Slovenia in the Afro-Euro qualifier on the weekend, were not given a seed that are based on the new ITF Davis Cup Nations rankings.

The eight seeded nations are Canada, Germany, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland.

Seeds are based on the new ITF Davis Cup Nations rankings as of April 9.

They will be drawn against one of South Africa, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Japan, Netherlands and Uzbekistan.

The 2012 World Group playoffs will take place alongside the World Group semi-finals in September, with the eight winners contesting in the 2013 World Group.
