Murray into quarter-finals

Miami - British fourth seed Andy Murray advanced to the quarter-finals of the $9.6 million ATP and WTA hardcourt tournament on Tuesday by defeating French 13th seed Gilles Simon 6-3, 6-4.

Murray will next face Serbian ninth seed Janko Tipsarevic, who ousted Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov 7-6 (7/3), 6-2. The Scottish star could have a semi-final matchup against World No. 2 Rafael Nadal of Spain.
