Paris - American John Isner on Monday joined the ranks of the world's top ten players after beating world number one Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals of the Indian Wells tournament at the weekend.
Serb Djokovic, winner at Indian Wells in 2011, sees his lead on Spaniard Rafael Nadal reduced. Swiss Roger Federer, who beat Nadal in the semi-finals at Indian Wells, remains third behind the Spaniard.
Federer won the Indian Wells event after beating Isner in the final on Sunday.
Argentine Juan Martin Del Potro drops two places after losing to Federer in the quarter-finals in the California tournament.
