Granollers off to a flyer

Kitzbuehel - Marcel Granollers of Spain defeated Filippo Volandri of Italy 6-4, 6-2 on Tuesday to reach the second round of the Bet-At-Home Cup.

The seventh-seeded Granollers, who won his second career title in Gstaad, Switzerland, on Sunday, fell behind 3-1 in the opening set before dominating the match.

He next plays either Andreas Haider-Maurer of Austria or Antonio Veic of Croatia.

Also, Joao Souza of Brazil defeated Jerzy Janowicz of Poland 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (3) to set up a second-round match against third-seeded Ivan Ljubicic.
