Budapest - Top-seeded Sara Errani of Italy beat Alberta Brianti 6-4, 6-0 in an all-Italian quarter-final at the Budapest Grand Prix on Thursday.
Errani will play Anna Tatishvili of Georgia, who defeated Aleksandra Wozniak of Canada 5-7, 7-6 (7/4), 6-4.
The Italian says "it was difficult to play against her because we know each other well. I needed time to get into the game."
Fifth-seeded Marina Erakovic downed Barbora Zahlavova Strycova of the Czech Republic 6-2, 1-6, 6-4.
The New Zealander says "we both started pretty nervous. I managed to overcome that and be aggressive earlier than her."
She will play Elena Vesnina of Russia, who beat sixth-seeded Petra Martic of Croatia 6-3, 6-2.
