Djokovic finishes No 1

Paris - Serb Novak Djokovic finishes as world number one for the second straight year, as he sits top of the final 2012 rankings released by the ATP on Monday.

Djokovic has 12 920 points with Swiss Roger Federer second on 10 265, Andy Murray in third place and Rafael Nadal in fourth despite being on the injury sidelines since July.

Czech veteran Radek Stepanek, 34, who stunned Spaniard Nicolas Almagro to secure a first Davis Cup victory for the Czech Republic at the weekend, moves up six places to 31st as a result.
