Bartoli through in Strasbourg

Strasbourg - Top-seeded Marion Bartoli beat Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic 6-2, 6-3 on Thursday to set up a semi-final match against three-time former champion Anabel Medina Garrigues at the Strasbourg International.

The Frenchwoman broke the eighth-seeded Hradecka three times in the first set, and cruised in the second to reach her fourth semi-final of the season.

The seventh-seeded Medina Garrigues beat Mirjana Lucic of Croatia 6-4, 6-4.

Medina Garrigues is chasing her second title of the season after winning last month's Estoril Open, while Bartoli's last title was two years ago at the Monterrey Open in Mexico.

Sixth-seeded Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia also advanced after beating fourth-seeded Nadia Petrova of Russia 6-4, 6-2.

Hantuchova next faces either second-seeded Andrea Petkovic or fifth-seeded Maria Kirilenko.
