Melbourne - American twins Bob and Mike Bryan claimed a record 13th Grand Slam title with an astonishing win over Dutch pairing Robin Haase and Igor Sijsling in the Australian Open final on Saturday. The left-hand, right-hand top seeds won 6-3, 6-4 in less than an hour on Rod Laver Arena to outstrip the 12 major wins compiled by Australian pairing John Newcombe and Tony Roche in the 1960s and 1970s.In an indication of their dominance, the Bryans did not make a single unforced error in the match as they cantered to victory."Obviously, it feels real good to have that record. To be a part of history is pretty special," Mike Bryan said."We weren't thinking about it much out there, but now that we have it, it's going to be fun to look back on our career and say we have the most Grand Slams. It's a big record, so we're pretty excited about it."The Bryans, 34, won their first Grand Slam title at the 2003 French Open and they have now contested 23 major finals. In total, they have won a record 83 doubles trophies including Olympic gold last year.
