Johannesburg - Kevin Anderson fought back from a set down to defeat Sergiy Stakhovsky of the Ukraine, progressing to the third round of the Australian Open in Melbourne on Wednesday.
Anderson, the only South African left in the singles competition, negotiated his way through the second round with a 3-6, 6-1, 7-6, 6-3 victory.
The SA number one faces world number seven Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic in the third round on Friday.
