Anderson on song in Paris

Cape Town - South Africa's No 1 tennis player, Kevin Anderson, has reached the third round of the French Open after beating Argentina's Horacio Zeballos in four sets in Paris on Wednesday.

The 31st seeded finished strongly, taking the fourth set without dropping a game in a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 win.

Anderson will next face seventh seed Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic for a spot in the round of 16.

Earlier on Wednesday, South Africa's top women's player, Chanelle Scheepers, was beaten 6-3, 6-3 in her second round clash against Russian 27th seed Nadia Petrova.
