Johannesburg -South Africa's top-ranked tennis players, Kevin Anderson and Chanelle Scheepers, continued their steady climb in the latest world rankings released on Monday.
Anderson broke into the world top 30 for the first time, while Scheepers climbed four places to 37th position.
Anderson reached the quarterfinals of the China Open in Beijing last week before he was eliminated by Croatia's Marin Cilic.
The result saw the South African climb one place to 30th in the ATP rankings after steady progress this season.
Scheepers reached the second round in Beijing, but continued to reap the benefits of her maiden WTA Tour title in Guangzhou last month.
