Cape Town - SA No 1 Kevin Anderson on Friday lost his Nottingham Open quarter-final battle to American Steve Johnson.

The pair returned to complete the final set of their quarter-final which was halted due to darkness on Thursday.
Top-seed Anderson was leading 6-7 (6/8), 7-5, 4-3 when play was halted due to darkness after two hours.
Unfortunately for Anderson, he lost the final set 6-4 when play resumed on Friday.
In the semi-finals, Johnson will now play seventh seed Italian Andreas Seppi, who rallied to beat Israel’s Dudi Sela 5-7, 6-4, 6-4.
In the other semi-final, Luxembourg’s Gilles Muller will take on second seed Uruguayan Pablo Cuevas, who saved a match point in beating Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (10/8).
The Nottingham Open is the players' last chance to hone their grass-court game before Wimbledon starts on Monday.
