Paris - Gael Monfils will miss out on appearing in front of his home crowd next week after being forced to pull out of the Paris Masters through injury.
The US Open semi-finalist was knocked out in his opening match at the Stockholm Open earlier this month and has been struggling with a rib injury.
That has forced Monfils to withdraw from the Paris Masters, with the 30-year-old hoping to be fully fit in time for his debut appearance at the ATP World Tour Finals, which begin in London on November 13.
"Gael Monfils cannot take part in the Paris Masters next week due to a rib injury," confirmed his agent Nicolas Lamperin.
Spain’s Marcel Granollers has also pulled out of the tournament, with Ukraine’s Illya Marchenko and Argentina's Guido Pella both added to the main draw.
