Kevin Anderson’s wife slams SABC

Cape Town - Kelsey Anderson, wife of Kevin Anderson, has slammed the SABC after they wrote that South Africa's tennis stars Anderson and doubles specialist Raven Klaasen were 'reasonable' players.

Kelsey Anderson, who co-founded Realife Tennis, posted on Twitter a screenshot of an article announcing the new CEO of Tennis South Africa (TSA), which was written by SABC journalist Nhlanhla Motha.

In the image, Kelsey clearly marks off a paragraph pertaining to a statement written that two of the country's tennis players, Kevin Anderson and Raven Klaasen are "reasonably successful professional tennis players".

Kelsey wasn't taking this lightly and defended her husband's professional status, saying:

In what other profession would you consider two men who've been top 10 in the ENTIRE WORLD only ‘reasonably successful’ SABC? I'll wait...”

Anderson was ranked a career high of 10 in the world rankings last October 2015.

Simon Cambers, freelance writer and journalist at the Guardian replied to Anderson saying that it's "ridiculous" with Kelsey responding, "I genuinely TRY not to let stuff like this get to me, but I mean come on... Lol"

Anderson reached the quarter-finals of the Chengdu Open in China before losing to Serbia's Viktor Troicki in straight sets.

Anderson is currently the 45th ranked player on the ATP single standings, while Klaasen is currently ranked 10th in the ATP doubles rankings.
