Anderson's 2016 woes continue

Cape Town - Kevin Anderson’s nightmare tennis season continued when he was ousted in the second round of the Washington Open on Wednesday.

Anderson, who was seeded 9th for the tournament, lost 5-7, 6-4, 7-6 (7/3) to unseeded Tunisian Malek Jaziri.

Anderson has endured a troublesome, injury-plagued year which has seen him struggle to win matches.

He is currently ranked No 33 on the ATP World Tour rankings - a significant drop in rankings after cracking the Top 10 in October last year.
