Anderson congratulates compatriot Harris

Cape Town - South Africa’s No 1-ranked tennis player, Kevin Anderson, has congratulated compatriot Lloyd Harris for breaking into the world's Top 200.

Harris, 20, on Monday broke into the ATP World Tour’s top 200 for the first time.

Harris is now ranked 199th after reaching the semi-finals of the Challenger event in Taiwan last week.

Anderson, the world No 15, took to Twitter to heap praise on his countryman:

Harris was the star of the South African Davis Cup team who beat Denmark 3-1 last month, promoting South Africa into the Euro/Africa Group 1.

He won both his singles rubbers in the promotional tie played in Aarhus, Denmark.

Harris will play in the ATP Challenger event this week in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and is hoping to qualify for next week's ATP Tour 250 event, The VTB Kremlin Cup in Moscow, Russia.

Anderson, meanwhile, is currently competing in the Shanghai Masters event where he reached the second round on Tuesday.
