Murray's Munich quarter delayed by rain

Munich - Andy Murray's Munich Open quarter-final against Lukas Rosol will take place on Saturday after persistent rain played havoc with Friday's schedule, organisers announced.

Roberto Bautista Agut's last eight clash with Victor Estrella Burgos has also had to be postponed 24 hours.

Organisers are still hoping the rain will relent to allow the quarter-finals from the second half of the draw - Dominic Thiem v Gerald Melze and Philipp Kohlschreiber v David Goffin - to go ahead as planned.

Murray eased into the quarters with a straight sets win over qualifier Mischa Zverev on Thursday.

The top seed should face a tougher test as he builds up to the French Open against Czech Rosol, the world number 41 who saw off Sergiy Stakhovsky also in straight sets in his second-round match.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
