California - World No 3 Andy Murray beat Taiwan's Lu Yen-Hsun 6-3, 6-2 on Tuesday to reach the fourth round of the Indian Wells Masters.
Murray, playing his first tournament since falling to Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open final in January, next faces unseeded Argentinian Carlos Berlocq, who defeated 16th-seeded Kei Nishikori of Japan 6-2, 6-2.
Murray avenged a defeat by Lu in the first round at the 2008 Beijing Olympics - a disappointment the Scot had since made up for with his gold medal performance before adoring British fans at the London Games last year.
