Auckland - Seventh-seeded Tommy Haas beat Igor Sijsling of the Netherlands 6-3, 6-4 in just over an hour Wednesday to reach the Heineken Tennis Open quarter-finals.
Haas, ranked 21 and playing in Auckland for the first time since winning the tournament in 1999, will next face Gael Monfils of France.
Monfils beat Australian qualifier Australian Greg Jones, 6-4, 6-2 in 66 minutes.
