Djokovic stays on top

Berlin - Japan's Kei Nishikori is up to a career-best sixth in the ATP world rankings following his tournament win in Tokyo on Sunday.

That victory came on the back of his win in Kuala Lumpur the week before and just a month after he reached the final of the US Open.

Novak Djokovic, who successfully defended his title in Beijing on Sunday, maintained a comfortable advance atop the rankings with his nearest challenger, Rafael Nadal, almost 4 000 points adfrift.

Roger Federer, meanwhile, is just 295 points behind Nadal and could overtake him with a goood performance at the Shanghai Masters this week.
