Umag - Defending champion Tommy Robredo reached the final of the Croatia Open, defeating third-seeded Marin Cilic of Croatia 7-6 (12/10), 6-3 on Sunday.
The second-seeded Spaniard will face Uruguayan qualifier Pablo Cuevas in the final after Cuevas upset top-seeded Fabio Fognini of Italy 6-3, 6-4 in the other semi-final.
Heavy rains on Saturday caused the semi-finals to be postponed until Sunday. The final will be played on Sunday evening after the players have rested.
Robredo is seeking his 13th career title and first since winning Umag a year ago. Cuevas will be going for his second ATP title this month after winning in Bastad, Sweden, two weeks ago.
The last player to defend his title here was Spaniard Carlos Moya, who won three consecutive titles from 2001-03.
