Anderson back into top 20

Johannesburg - Top South African tennis player Kevin Anderson, who is seeking to end his recent slump in form at this week's Shanghai Masters, moved up a place in Monday's ATP singles rankings - to put him back into the world's top 20, albeit in 20th position.

After taking a month off from competitive play for most of September with a niggling hand complaint, Anderson suffered a first-round exit in last week's Japan Open and faced a tough draw in Shanghai.

Also moving in the right direction was Raven Klaasen, who climbed the world doubles ranking by one position, into a career-best 45th spot.

Chani Scheepers continued her roller-coaster ride in the women's singles rankings, slipping two places back to 80th place.
