Thanks for tuning in!

Be sure to join us again on Friday when South Africa tackle Zimbabwe in Harare (09:30 start).

27 Aug 2014

What a remarkable run-chase by South Africa! Considering the opponents, this must rank right up there with some of their best ever run-chases.

I said beforehand that South Africa need some practice chasing big scores down with next year's World Cup in mind. And they did just that!

Well done to Faf du Plessis (106), who scored his first ODI century, and AB de Villiers (136 not out off 106 balls) who absolutely pummelled the Aussie bowlers.

Credit to JP Duminy as well for making 33 not out off 29 balls at the end there. He came in at a potentially tricky period...

27 Aug 2014

RESULT: South Africa win by 7 wickets!

27 Aug 2014

Duminy takes a single off Faulkner to end the game!

South Africa finish on 328/3 after 46.4 overs.

27 Aug 2014

SA 327/3. The scores are level!

27 Aug 2014

SA 320/3 after 46 overs.

They require 8 more runs to win off 24 balls.

27 Aug 2014

De Villiers smacks Richardson over mid-off for yet another four. Yes, he was dropped twice in the 80s, but otherwise he was simply sublime today!

27 Aug 2014

OVERS 45: SA 310/3

Run-rate: 6.88 per over

They require 18 more runs to win off 30 balls.

27 Aug 2014

50 PARTNERSHIP between De Villiers and Duminy.

27 Aug 2014

Duminy smacks Richardson down the ground for SIX to bring up SA's 300, coming off 43.4 overs. This game is done as a contest!

27 Aug 2014

SA 293/3 after 43 overs.

They need 35 runs to win off 42 balls.

27 Aug 2014

Michell Johnson has now completed his overs. He conceded 63 off 10 without taking a wicket. When he fails to perform, Australia normally struggle...

27 Aug 2014

De Villiers running better between the stumps now. Cramps gone?

27 Aug 2014

Johnson now back into the attack to bowl his 9th over. Last throw of the dice by Australia.

27 Aug 2014

South Africa scored 47 runs (9.4 per over) off the last completed Powerplay, losing only the wicket of Faf du Plessis.

27 Aug 2014

OVERS 40: SA 273/3

Run-rate: 6.82 per over

They require 55 more to win off 60 balls.

27 Aug 2014

DID YOU KNOW?

AB de Villiers now averages 59 against Australia in ODI cricket.

27 Aug 2014

As JP Duminy comes in to bat, South Africa need 71 runs to win off 72 balls.

27 Aug 2014

WICKET! Du Plessis is out for 106, caught by Smith in the deep after miscuing a bouncer from Starc.

SA 257/3 after 38 overs.

27 Aug 2014

That also brought up South Africa's 250 as well as the 200 PARTNERSHIP between De Villiers and Du Plessis.

27 Aug 2014

CENTURY up for AB de Villiers, coming off 82 balls.

It's his 18th century in ODI cricket.

27 Aug 2014

Faf gets a big hug from his big mate AB!

27 Aug 2014

A maiden ODI CENTURY for Faf du Plessis, coming off 95 balls!

27 Aug 2014

De Villiers goes down on one knee and sweeps Faulkner all the way for SIX. That's a type of shot you'll see him hit in the IPL!

27 Aug 2014

Surely South Africa must win this at a canter now. 94 needed off 84 balls.

27 Aug 2014

De Villiers responds by smacking Richardson over mid-off for four to move into the 90s...

27 Aug 2014

CHANCE! Oh dear, another sitter goes down. This time captain George Bailey drops De Villiers at point... Richardson is the bowler who looks on in disbelief...

27 Aug 2014

The Batting Powerplay is now taken.

27 Aug 2014

Next ball, De Villiers edges it past a diving Brad Haddin for four...

27 Aug 2014

CHANCE!

Oh my word, Johnson has dropped an absolute sitter of a catch after De Villiers had played it straight back to him!

27 Aug 2014

De Villiers still struggling with what appears to be his left hamstring... But he's seeing the ball well and has moved into the 70s...

27 Aug 2014

Both De Villiers and Du Plessis are receiving treatment from the physio Brandon Jackson during the DRINKS BREAK.

SA need 124 to win from 108 balls.

27 Aug 2014

De Villiers also seems to be struggling with cramp now. Lets hope it's only cramp, and not a hamstring issue...

27 Aug 2014

RECORD!

This is also now a record third wicket stand in one-day cricket for South Africa against Australia. It beats the record set by Hansie Cronje and Daryll Cullinan at Centurion in 1996.

27 Aug 2014

150 PARTNERSHIP between Du Plessis and De Villiers, coming off 138 balls.

27 Aug 2014

200 up for South Africa, coming off 188 balls.

27 Aug 2014

Du Plessis now goes over mid-off and hits Johnson for a MAXIMUM. That one hit the advertising wedge around the rope so is given as a six.

27 Aug 2014

Du Plessis moves into the 80s when he hits Johnson down the ground for four...

27 Aug 2014

Danger-man Mitchell Johnson is now back into the attack for Australia. I've got a sneaky feeling his next spell could determine the outcome of the game...

27 Aug 2014

OVERS 30: SA 187/2

Run-rate: 6.23 per over

They require 141 runs off 120 balls.
