90' +5 - WHAT A HIT BY GIROUD! That is some finish by the frenchman as the ball comes over his left shoulder he controls it and hits it with his left foot into the top left hand corner. Only a stunning strike like that could beat De Gea today. WOW! Can Arsenal find an equaliser?

88' - Manchester United substitution. Here is something you don't see often. A substitute is substituted as Young is replaced by Carrick. He doesn't seem to be injured either.

85' - You just knew this was coming, United catch Arsenal on the break. Di Maria in acres of space, Monreal is pulled out of position to close him down and he slips the ball to Rooney who slots home past Martinez in the Arsenal goal. That was United's first shot on target today.

56' - Manchester United have the lead through a Gibbs own goal! A rare attack comes to Valencia after a punch clearance by Szczesny, he lashes in a shot which deflects off Gibbs who was lying on the ground after coming together with his own goalkeeper in the previous clearance.

49' - De Gea saves United again! This time the ball comes to Welbeck in space on the left, he cuts into the big box and shoots from a tight angle, but the big Man United shot stopper blocks it with his body.

47' - First corner of the half to Arsenal after some a mazy run down the right by Oxlaide-Chamberlain. He is having a great game for the Gunners. Corner comes to nothing.

Arsenal have looked very impressive but have yet to find a breakthrough. Man United have had one or two chances of their own but at this point have De Gea to thank for keeping them in the game.

43' - Some discomfort for United as an Arsenal corner is not dealt with. De Gea blocks a shot which comes to Welback with his back to goal. He tries an audacious back heel which goes well wide.

42' - Arsenal burst away down the left and Sanchez in acres of space cannot find Welbeck in the centre. The pass went behind the Arsenal forward. He is livid with his team mate.
