WATCH: Beckham replaces Beckham

Cape Town - The years were rolled back at Old Trafford on Saturday as Sir Alex Ferguson's British and Irish XI beat Carlo Ancelottis's Rest of the World XI 3-1 in a UNICEF charity match.

Names like Ryan Giggs, David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Michael Owen and Nicky Butt reunited against the likes of Ronaldinho, Cafu, Luis Figo and Clarence Seedorf.

But the biggest moment of the match came 15 minutes from time when Beckham, 40, was replaced by his oldest son Brooklyn Beckham, 16.

Brooklyn, also wearing the No 7 jersey, took up his place on the right wing and was greeted by a roar every time he touched the ball.

Brooklyn has been a part of the youth setup at Arsenal, but reports suggest that the club decided not to renew their interest in him this year and it appears that he has thrown in the towel on his football career.
