France booked their place in the World Cup final thanks to a Samuel Umtiti headed goal from a corner in the 51st minute to edge out a brave Belgian side.
19-year-old striker Mbappe though grabbed the headlines with another sensational performance belying his age as he terrorised Belgium's defence.
The PSG forward was the name on everyone's lips after he slotted in Olivier Giroud by pulling off a sublime piece of skill that left fans drooling.
"It was unbelievable," TV pundit Rio Ferdinand said at full-time. "That shouldn't be allowed on the pitch."
