WATCH: Football fans enjoy SWC action - at 40 000 feet!

Cape Town - A video of an Emirates flight filled with English supporters' reaction to their team's dramatic penalty shootout against Columbia in the Round of 16 has gone viral.

Posted last week by a passenger, the video captures the moment England's Eric Dier converted the final spot kick, which saw England progress in to the quarter-finals.

Passengers can be seen cheering and bursting into song.

The video has since garnered over three million views on Facebook.

Since then England went on to defeat Sweden 2-0 in the quarter-finals on Saturday.

Gareth Southgate's men will face Croatia in the semi-finals on Wednesday (20:00 SA time) as they bid to end their 52-year World Cup title drought.
